I am Timea Babos. I was born on 10th of May 1993 in Sopron. Maybe this is my very first photo, which was taken after coming out from the hospital, and I lying on a tennis racket. This kind of photo has been a tradition in my family, because my sister also had this kind of picture. The whole family was involved in tennis and is still dealing with, so it's no surprise that we started so early. We lived in the sports center at the Lövér Körút, where my father was a coach, and where he was also the coach of my sister, who by this time had been many times Hungarian Champion.

Mom stayed at Sopron to lead our gym and in the management of a large part of household work. I actually have not even planned that I'm going to ever play tennis. Accordingly, I don’t play tennis, because my parents were eager, that I must learn how to swim, so I swam. At the beginning only a few times a week, and then, since I consider myself a racer type, I started to swim competitively. It didn’t go bad, but in the meantime I realized that I did not like it, so I gave it up when I was 8 years old. However, I did not regret this 3 years, at first I enjoyed the good things and at least I learned how to swim.

At that time, I already quite interested in tennis, I look at my sister's workouts and I wanted to try. I included in the academic stream of SVSE group led by Gábor Szemerics, where after a few months the coach selected me for the competitive framework, where by this time, Csaba Úr and Sándor Papp took place in the direction of coaches’ workouts. I started playing competitive tennis only in Sopron, than at national level, and as more and better ranking on my list, I could also have major domestic competitions. So at the age of 9 I was able to play at the under 12 Countryside Championships, where as the 4^th player of the 4-person team SVSE I won every game, also we won the Countryside Championships and we qualified for our age group Championships of Hungary.

On this particular August, I won my first Hungarian Championship gold medal and from then fortunately, there was no stopping ...
