Australian Open 2015: farewell in mixed doubles

The match lasted 59 minutes.

The 21-minute first set decided by the differences between the service games. Mirza and Soares easily hold their games and broke twice the opponent. The first seeds jumped to a 5:0 lead. Then Timi and her partner put their names on the scoreboard, but after that the rival won the next game to 0.

The 30-minute second set “brought”  a huge battle. Timi and Butorac played much better, they took care about the serves. Till 5:4 they faced no break point! And in the tenth game they had two sets points as a receiver, they lived with the second chance.

In the tie-break Mirza and Soares had the control. They won all the rallies behind the serves and won another four point as a receiver.

Timi will play in women’s doubles with Kristina Mladenovic: in the second round they will meet Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova.
