Roland Garros 2014: Timi and Eric Butorac advanced to the semifinal

The match lasted 1 hour 4 minutes. The Hungarian-American pair’s opponent in the semi-final will be Julia Goerges and Nenad Zimonjic at the Roland Garros.
 

 
"I am very glad, we both played well today! It’s my first Grand Slam semi-finals. I'm happy! We have more and more difficult matches, but we are getting better and better" - Timi said.

Timi played in her first quarter-final among the seniors in a Grand Slam tournament, while Eric Butorac was once in the last eight in January at the Australian Open. The French duo played in home court, it was az advantage, but it fortunately it did not really affect the game.
 
Timi and the American partner served very well and they had no problems as a receiver. In the 32-minute first set they broke the rival at 1:1, to 401. The advantage lasted to the eight game, when they lost their own service game to 30.

Fortunately, this was not a real turning point, because Timi and Butorac immediately had a 40-0 lead, and they won the rival’s serve to 40. Then they won the next game to 0, and with it they had a 1-0 lead.

In the second they started with a break, and pulled away 2:0. Cornet and Eysseric fought bravely, but without a real chance. The Hungarian-American duo recieved for the semifinal at 5:3.

The French double had a 40-30 lead, but Timi and Eric Butorac broke to 40, so they advanced to the last four.

In the semifinal the Hungarian-American duo will meet the eight seed Julia Goerges and Nenad Zimonjic. The German -Serbian pair so far won against Megan Moulton- Levy - Nicholas Monroe (6:1, 7:5), Liezel Huber-Juan Sebastian Cabal (6:0, 6:1) and Katarina Srebotnik-Rohan Bopanna (2:6, 6:4, 10-5).
