Roland Garros 2014: a great victory and quarter-final in Mixed Doubles

The match lasted one hour eight minutes. The Hungarian- American duo will meet in the quarterfinal the duo of Alize Cornet and Jonathan Eysseric.
 

"Oooh, it was a great match! Honestly, I did not think that we will win, because the opponents were in the final this year at the Australian Open. But I'm happy that we won. I did extremely well in the game. In particular, my serves were very good, which is important in mixed doubles! First time in my life I will play on the second week of a Slam"- Timi said.

The 20-minute first set was one sided: Mirza and Tecau broke the rival twice. At 1:0 they won the game to 30, then at 4:1 to 0. In the seventh game the Indian-Romanian pair won to 15, they give chance for the rival.

The 36-minute second set brought a huge turn. Timi and Eric Butorac seved better and better, they always were a step ahead. At 4:3 the Hungarian-American duo had a 40-0 lead, then they lived with the fourt chance. Unfortunately, after 5:3 Mirza and Tecau broke to 30 (5:4).

But later came the pleasant turnaround! Timi and her partner had set point as a receiver and they won the game to 40. Come the deciding tie-break.
 
The tie-break brought huge excitement and great battle! At the beginning each pair hold their serve, but after 5-5 Timi and Eric Butorac broke the rival. And they hold the lead, at 8-7 the won both serves. So they advanced to the quarterfinal at the Roland Garros.

Timi and Eric Butorac will meet Alize Cornet and Jonathan Eysseric in the next round. The French pair firstly won 2:6, 7:5, 10-5 against the 7th seed double of Anabel Medina-Garrigues and David Marrero. The they defeat 7:6, 3:6, 11-9 the double of Klaudia Jans-Ignacik and Dominic Inglot.
