Timi and Mandy won the semifinal

"We played a good game, Mandy improved compared to the previous meeting. Of course, I have progressed a lot in the last few days, serve is getting better. The rivals couldn’t brake me during the doubles tournament. I feel that every element of my game is a bit better, also compared to the individual. But there is much spare in me. Saturday's opponent is well known, we are almost contemporaries. I feel we will have a good chance of winning, but of course we have to play well"- Timi said after the semi-final.

Timi won singles in Monterrey last year and the doubles with Hsieh Su-Wei of Taipei in Birmingham.

Timi and Minella will meet in Saturday's final the Spanish Garbine Muguruza (no doubles, ranking) and Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor (860th). The latter was a doubles finalist in 2010 as a junior with Lara Arruabarrena Vecino at Roland Garros, Timi and Sloane Stephens won 6:2, 6:3.
