US Open 2015: Stosur's victory...

"Stosur played very well today. She played like a real champion throughout the match. I think I played well too. I struggled as I could, but it was not enough today. I had small mistakes, but overall it was a positive match. Of course I am sad! Maybe, I will get easier draw in the future, and I will train hard, to be ready for the task! Two weeks ago in Cincinnati in the opening round Timi won a huge battle, a three-set thriller against Stosur. Unfortunately, this time the much more routine Australian star showed her class.

The match was a close battle, but without big turnarounds.

In the 30-minute opening set both player served very well. Timi and Stosur barely lost a point, till 4:3. In the eight game the 31-year old Australian player had two break points and she won the second after 40-40.

In the next game Stosur saved a break point, then she won the game to 40.

At the beginning of the second set Timi hold her service game after 15-40, but she couldn’t made danger as a receiver. And it was crucial.

After 2:2 Stosur broke to 30 then she hold that lead. Timi fought bravely, but she had no chance for a comeback.

In the last two receiver’s game the Hungarian youngster couldn’t won a point.
