After Shenzhen: Timi is ranked 59th in singles

Excellent ending of the 2015 season with a tournament victory and very well beginning of 2016, with the semifinal in Shenzhen!

Timi won 8 matches in a row (5 + 3) in Chinese Taipei and China, first at the 125 000 USD event, and then at the 500 000 USD tournament.

Last week in Shenzhen the Hungarian youngster won in the first round against Evgeniya Rodina (6:3, 6:2), then defeated the 4th seed Monica Niculescu (6:1, 6:4) and the 2014 Wimbledon finalist, Eugenie Bouchard (6:4, 6:4). In the semifinal Timi lost against Alison Riske (2:6, 4:6).

Of course, the outstanding performances in China, also shows result in the world rankings. Timi finished the 2015 season at the 70th position, now she moved a total of 11 places. So, she is ranked 59th, which equal her career best, from 20.08.2012.

Interesting fact, that the 8th best player of the World is still the 2015 US Open winner, Flavia Pennetta. The Italian star finished her career at the end of last season.
